What an incredibly electric show. I don't just mean it was not acoustic, I mean everyone was ON that night. Everything clicked. I don't know if it was the ending show to the first 6, or why, but it was HOT! There were so many fans that stood most of the show, even though we had seats (usually seated venues make us sit), about halfway through everyone rushed the stage. What a way to end the tour for many of us.

Bo Was Full of Confidence and Charisma Last Night at Emelin. I am always amazed when I see him perform and I can never get over that I walk away from the show saying "This is the Best I have Seen Him", that is until the next time I see him.
The Hat, The Jacket and the Boots ~~ Finally Boots... The Interaction with his Band and of course "BO" was totally ON last night.
The Emerlin Theater is a Tiny, Old Performing Arts/Library in the heart of Tiny Mamaroneck. The stage was equal to the size of an elementary school auditorium.
When we walked in and saw all the equipment, we knew that, for whatever reasons, he ditched the acoustics for tonight and I was so happy when the usher told us that his band was with him. For me, this worked. I don't know if anyone was disappointed, but how could you be? Our Seats were fantastic, Fifth Row Isle. Close enough to the Stage, Yet set-up a few feet, so that we were at equal height to the stage. All the Peeps standing infront of the stage did not block our view.
Although I live 5 mins from Bayshore, LI, I could not make that March 4th show and settled on the 55 mile drive to Mamaroneck.
We finally arrived in Mam around 6:00, having sat on the LIE for about 2 hours in traffic ~~ This is nothing new to us Long Islanders. We found a parking spot, don't dare move that car, and walked around the town. A very old, fashioned place, street-lined with Mom and Pop shops. Unfortunately, many closed down probably due to the economy. We did find a very nice Italian Restaurant "Enzo's" with Real Italian Waiters. The Food and the Service were 5 Star. We each ordered a Heinken and the Mussles Marina over Spaghetti. Isn't Italian one of Bo's favorites?
Barefoot Patrick started his set on time and was very cool. Very Much the Hippy-type with a deep, soul-filled voice.
The intermission was short and then came BO. Clad in the Purple Jacket and the Purple Hat. I was hoping he would throw the hat out so I could catch it and cherish it forever.
He sang for almost 2 hours, changing guitars, playing his harmonica and engaging the audience with his usual Charm.
At the end, the line was so long for the M&G. As we were deciding on whether to wait or hit the road, there seemed to be a problem with the staff at Emelin and the fans. From what I over-heard, they wanted the fans to move the line outside. From what the gal on the bathroom line told me, the wife of the drummer, they were hitting the road and Bo wanted to be on the road back to Nashville in 45 mins. We decided to hit the road ourselves, and catch up with Bo in July when he plays BB Kings in NYC.
DID BO HAVE THE M&G? I would like to see the M&G reserved for the paying Fan Club Members and not the whole audience.
Sorry, no pics or video. I wanted to soak up BO and not be fiddling with equipment. For those that took the time to record BO, wait until you guys see the outfit. And he finally wore Boots. I always see him in sneakers. I watched his every move, never taking my eyes off of him.
Is it me, or does Bo look too thin? When I saw him in Nov he looked about 20-30 lbs heavier.
Anyway Bo, Thanks So Much for Another Unforgettable Night. And Thank You for always Including New York in your Tour Schedule.
We look forward to July and Seeing You at BB Kings in NYC. Have a Safe Trip back to Nashville and enjoy those babies for the week you are home.
Love & Hugs Always,
Cindy
